Just finished taking a look at Hawaii Surf Session Report #111 from Backdoor/Off the Wall. November 15 was a very interesting day on the North Shore, as a large-scale earthquake in Japan sent a tsunami scare through much of the Pacific, including the Hawaiian Islands.
In the end though, no tsunamis materialized and it was just another fun - but small - day on the North Shore, right before last week's swell arrived and we had something more serious to get excited about.
