Okay, so Mick Fanning won the WCT contest in Brazil. Second win of the year, moved up to second in the ratings behind Kelly Slater, blah blah blah.
What's really interesting heading into the Pipeline Masters next month is who's in serious danger of falling off the WCT entirely.
Here's the list of notables:
- Pancho Sullivan (unlikely with his current #26 rating and his track record at Pipe)
- Chris Ward (probably no injury wildcard this year)
- Roy Powers (currently sitting below the WQS qualifying line; needs strong performances at 'QS Triple Crown events in home waters)
- Jake Paterson (needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat at Pipe)
The fun in Hawaii starts next week. Check out TripleCrownofSurfing.com forr coverage.
