As reported in this blog last week, Jamie O'Brien is not particularly interested in contest surfing at this point in his career.
This is probably a good thing, as O'Brien was not-so-quietly shown the door by the resurgent WCT vet Taylor Knox at the Boost Mobile Pro (Presented by Hurley) this morning at Lower Trestles.
Round two was completed today in a dropping swell. It may continue to deteriorate tomorrow, but the contest must be completed by Saturday so it appears likely that we won't see Lowers at its best this year.
