One of the most inspiring things I've seen recently was Jesse Billauer being towed into the Lower Trestles lineup on Saturday afternoon at the Boost Mobile Pro (Presented by Hurley). Jesse participated in the Expression Session just before the final.
Jesse's story is fairly well-known in the surf world today (17 years old, an aspiring pro, thrown head first into a sandbar and fracturing a vertebra in his neck while severing his spinal cord), but watching his pure enjoyment of riding waves as a quadriplegic never gets old.
