Round one is now in the books at the Quiksilver Pro France at Hossegor. Hawaiian Bruce Irons dominated in the pumping conditions, and both Kelly Slater and Andy Irons took care of business, advancing straight to round three.
Among the disappointments: Pancho Sullivan and Bobby Martinez, both of whom were trounced and are headed for the "losers" round.
